Our 2026 Date Night Tracker is at the end of this post, available to paid subscribers!

A couple of years ago, we had a hard time remembering the last time we went on a date…so we decided to track them! It sounds crazy because it’s literally just a calendar, but this piece of paper that hung on our fridge made us very intentional about having a date on a regular basis.

We were able to look back and see good patterns (daily dates when our kids were with grandparents) and bad patterns (back to school and Advent needed more attention). We even use one color for dates at home and another color for dates out of the home, because we want to make sure we’re doing both!

If you want to hear more about the difference it’s made when we started tracking dates, check out our YouTube video:

So here’s your encouragement to make date night a priority this year! And remember that a date is just dedicated time to spend with each other. It can be as simple or fancy as you want.

Just make it happen! We’re cheering you on in 2026!
